This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens, mainly bamboo, collected from 26 April to 13 May 1972 in Brazil. Panama 1971 notes from 1-3 November, numbers 2146-2157 are included in the back of the notebook. Calderon records taxonomic names of specimens, soil samples, temperatures, when a photo is taken, and several abbreviations such as "FAA" (often related to information about leaves, inflorescence, seedlings) and "3:1" (often related to inflorescence). References to ?sphl.?, which is accompanied by male/female sex signs, are included throughout the notebook, possibly referring to Staphylinidae insects. Collector numbers 2241-2267 are included in this volume. Localities include, but are not limited to Rio Jequiri, Jaguaquara, and Itaju do Colnia
